Artificial Intelligence Workshop

 

Next Monday, June 1, the Faculty of Medicine at Son Espases University Hospital will host the AI WORKSHOP, delivered by telecommunications engineer and Executive MBA, Néstor Guerra.

 

PROGRAM:


• Opening session. Objectives, takeaways for attendees, and ground rules (laptops, patient data, intellectual property, VPNs).
• Activity 1. Deep researchers: Deep Research. How autonomous agents (OpenAI Deep Research, Claude Research, Gemini Deep Research, Perplexity) can scan hundreds of sources in minutes.
• Activity 2. Information analysis with NotebookLM. Uploading proprietary sources (papers, guidelines, protocols), generating mind maps, executive briefings, and audio overviews for journal clubs.
• Activity 3. Connectors and research tools in GPT-5.5 and Claude 4.7. Native connectors to PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, Google Drive, and scientific search. Use of MCP (Model Context Protocol) to integrate proprietary sources.
• Activity 4. Vibe coding applied to clinical research. Building software through natural language descriptions using Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Antigravity (Gemini 3.1).
• Activity 5. Diffusion models for scientific communication. Visual generation with Imagen Generation 2.0: flowcharts, scientific posters, patient journeys, and mechanism-of-action diagrams.
• Closing session and Q&A. Responsible use framework: patient data privacy, EU AI Act, verification. Resources and next steps.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

 

The workshop will host a maximum of 20 participants. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. One application per Research Group, Scientific-Technical Platform, or IdISBa Management Unit will be prioritized. If the number of applications exceeds the available places, participants will be selected in accordance with institutional criteria.

 

IMPORTANT: Participants must bring a laptop to attend the workshop.

 

CERTIFICATE: Participants who attend 100% of the workshop duration will receive a certificate of attendance.
