The Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa), through its Technical Platform Pills, is organizing a practical training session focused on the Odyssey M (LI‑COR) system and the new features of Image Studio™ software. The session is aimed at researchers interested in advanced image acquisition and analysis.

The course, entitled “Odyssey M – Discover additional applications and analysis features with the new Image Studio™ software”, will take place on May 4, 2026, at Son Espases University Hospital.

Objectives

The objective of this session is to present the capabilities of the new Image Studio™ acquisition software, with a special focus on the Focus Stack feature. This functionality allows users to determine the optimal focus for any type of plate (from 6‑well to 384‑well plates) and to obtain images across different focal planes in order to generate a 3D structure.

The session will also cover the acquisition of images from membranes, gels, and slides using Image Studio™, compared with the LI‑COR acquisition software, providing researchers with greater flexibility in their daily work with the Odyssey M system.

The session will be delivered by Lea Naestle, Field Application Scientist at LicorBio.
