The Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa) invites you to the “III phD(ay) Conference”, the third event aimed at predoctoral researchers, students currently enrolled in a PhD program, or researchers who intend to start a doctoral process in Health Sciences.

The conference will take place on Friday, May 22, at the Auditorium of the Son Espanyol Business Center (ParcBit), from 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Attendees will enjoy mentoring micro‑talks focused on the predoctoral stage, as well as the “3‑Minute Thesis Competition”, with prizes for the best participants. For this third edition, we have once again organized a round table to share different experiences and concerns.

REGISTRATION

To register for the III phD(ay) Conference, it is essential to complete the registration form and be enrolled in a PhD program or be a candidate for enrollment (university education). The conference is also open to students currently enrolled in master’s degrees in the field of health sciences.

“3‑Minute Thesis Competition” REQUIREMENTS

Researchers from the second year of their PhD onwards may participate. The competition will consist of a brief presentation of the thesis project, supported by a single static slide and limited to 3 minutes, followed by a session for questions and suggestions. There will be two prizes of €250 (training grant) awarded to the two best presentations.

A maximum of 15 candidates will be selected to present, following the order of registration until all available places are filled. One presentation per research group will be prioritized, and preference will be given to PhD students who have not previously participated as speakers in earlier editions of the competition. In all cases, having an affiliation with IdISBa is an essential requirement.
