The IdISBa launches the third call for the Synergia Program to carry out proven quality health research projects that are developed in the framework of cooperation between two or more Research Groups of the Institute.
This program aims to contribute to promoting the health and well-being of the citizens, as well as developing preventative, diagnostic, curative, rehabilitative and palliative aspects of the disease, reinforcing and increasing the competitiveness of R&D&I in Health of the Balearic Islands. The purpose of this program is also the design of techniques, products, instruments or the like that can contribute to improving the health of the population, by protecting their intellectual property and marketing.
The goal with these contracts is to:
- Finance a stable quality research line, avoiding fragmentation of the research groups, so that they reach the size that allows them to have a critical mass.
- Promote the scientific activity of the lines of research led by emerging researchers.
- Promote the presentation of coordinated projects that make possible the creation of contexts of scientific cooperation, accelerating the transfer of results to clinical practice, and in which the interaction of basic biomedical research teams (disease-oriented) is demonstrated with Clinical (patient-oriented) biomedical research teams and with epidemiological research teams and in health services.
- Encourage the participation of the research staff that performs healthcare tasks in the Health Service of the Balearic Islands.
