RAMON LLULL PROGRAMME (CLOSED)

Call 2019

One of the strategic aims of the IdISBa’s 2016-2020 Strategic Plan is to promote the attraction of research resources, especially in the human resources field, including employee retention and their career development. To achieve this goal, a further research programme must be developed for those researchers with clinical and support activities. Moreover, one of the objectives within the IdISBa’s 2019 Action Plan for this year is the establishment of an employment exchange program that would reduce working hours for support staff so they can invest those hours in research activities.

This furtherance of research activity will equilibrate support activities with research activities, allowing selected support staff to have their working hours partially reduced so they can invest those hours in research activities.

The programme “Ramon Llull” offers three modalities: A) Further research activity in Primary Healthcare; B) Further research activity in Hospital Care and in the Fundació Banc i Teixits de les Illes Balears; C) Further research activity in nursing and physiotherapy fields.

Objective

  • IdISBa offers a series of grants for the furtherance of research activity for the health staff with support activities hired by the Servicio de Salud de las Islas Baleares or by the Fundació Banc de Sang i Teixits de les Illes Balears. They must also be part of a Research Group from the IdISBa.
  • This programme is focused on the furtherance of time devoted to research activities by the professional staff that are part of the IdISBa and also depend on the Servicio de Salud de las Islas Baleares or on the Fundació Banc de Sang i Teixits de les Illes Balears. Consequently, IdISBa’s researchers who also carry out support activities will see an increase on their time devoted to research activities due to the grants that will serve for the hiring of additional health staff that will carry out part of their clinical and support activities.
  • This programme also aims to enhance translational research so as to promote the health and welfare of the citizens.

Modalities

  • B) Furtherance of research activity in the Hospital Care field and in the Fundació Banc de Sang i Teixits de les Illes Balears. Budget: 30,000 euros. These grants will finance the reduction of a 50% of the working hours (per year) of the candidates’ support activities for 12 months.
