Resources and Equipment | Molecular Imaging and Mass Spectrometry Platform (PT-IMEM)

Resources and Equipment

The Molecular Imaging and Mass Spectrometry Platform (PT-IMEM) is located in module F on the -1 floor and in the Son Espases University Hospital building

  • The laboratory is equipped with a magnetic resonance mass spectrometry system (ScimaX-MRMS, Bruker) and an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography system (UHPLC Elute+, Bruker). This state-of-the-art platform enables molecular characterization with exceptional resolution and accuracy, facilitating the detailed analysis of complex compounds and supporting advanced studies in metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomics.

In addition, the laboratory features specialized devices for molecular imaging techniques based on mass spectrometry imaging (MSI), including the Sprayer M3+ and the SubliMATE system (HTX Imaging Technologies). These instruments ensure homogeneous and controlled sample preparation-critical aspects for MSI analysis-thereby enhancing the quality, reproducibility, and reliability of experimental results.
