Liberi Program

Background

On December 18, 2017 IdISBa's Board of Trustees approved the institutional policy of open access of the Institut d'Investigació Sanitària Illes Balears (in spanish)

IdISBa considers it convenient and necessary to support the open access policy with the aim of promoting the dissemination of its scientific production, favoring the accessibility, visibility and impact of its scientific research, following the initiative of Budapest and the Berlin Declaration and the current national and international legislation on scientific dissemination in open access.

The definition of an open access institutional policy should allow:

  • To increase national and international visibility.
  • To increase the impact of the research carried out by the IdISBa researchers.
  • To reflect the excellence in the quality of research.
  • To ensure compliance with current legislation and recommendations, both at national [1] and international [2],level, and to guarantee that public-funded research results can be accessed without restrictions and free of charge.

Purpose of the Call

To that end, this article declares that a copy of the final version accepted for publication must also be made available in open-access repositories at the same time.
