New staff member at IdISBa: Sophie Bernard Lacombe joins as a Predoctoral Researcher

IdISBa welcomes Sophie Bernard Lacombe, who joins the Institute as a Predoctoral Researcher within the framework of the JUNIOR-2023 programme, linked to the project "GREAT-IdISBa: Generate Research Excellence and Advanced Therapies in IdISBa" (ITS2023-121).

This predoctoral contract, with full-time dedication, will run until 31 January 2028 and will be carried out at Son Espases University Hospital, under the supervision of Alberto Alonso.

Holding a university degree, Sophie Bernard Lacombe begins this new research stage with the goal of contributing to the research lines promoted by the GREAT-IdISBa project, an initiative aimed at strengthening the Institute's scientific excellence and research capacity.

Supporting early-career researchers

The incorporation of Sophie Bernard Lacombe is part of the JUNIOR-2023 programme, designed to attract and train emerging research talent. This initiative promotes the professional development of early-career researchers, encouraging their active participation in competitive projects and high-level research environments.

Through this appointment, IdISBa continues its commitment to training the next generation of scientists and researchers, strengthening its capacity to generate knowledge and promote impactful health research projects.

The GREAT-IdISBa: Generate Research Excellence and Advanced Therapies in IdISBa project aims to strengthen the Institute's research capabilities and foster the development of new scientific and therapeutic lines with potential impact on population health.

The researcher is linked to the ITS2023-121 GREAT research line (JUNIOR-2023 Call). This contract is funded under the JUNIOR-2023 recruitment programme of the project "GREAT-IdISBa: Generate Research Excellence and Advanced Therapies in IdISBa", co-funded by the 2023 Extraordinary Sustainable Tourism Tax Plan.
