New contract at IdISBa: Alejandro Ruiz Moreno joins the Energy Metabolism and Nutrition research group (GMEIN)

IdISBa welcomes Alejandro Ruiz Moreno, who joins the Energy Metabolism and Nutrition research group (GMEIN) through a contract linked to research projects focused on the implementation of personalised precision medicine.

This contract is part of research initiatives coordinated with different institutions at the national level, aimed at integrating clinical data from primary care and hospital settings in order to improve disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment through a personalised approach.

Advancing research in metabolism and nutrition

With this addition, the GMEIN group strengthens its research capacity in key areas such as energy metabolism, nutrition, and related diseases, contributing to the analysis of clinical and population factors from an integrative and multidisciplinary perspective.

The project is based on the use of clinical and epidemiological data to develop more efficient health strategies, with a strong focus on translational research and the transfer of knowledge to clinical practice.

Boosting personalised medicine

The incorporation of Alejandro Ruiz Moreno aligns with IdISBa's strategic objectives to promote personalised medicine, based on integrated data analysis and collaboration between research centres.

These initiatives contribute to the development of healthcare models tailored to each patient, improving treatment effectiveness and overall quality of life.

This contract is funded by a grant from the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands (Directorate General for Health Research, Training and Accreditation) and may be co-funded at 60% by the FEDER Programme 2021-2027 of the Balearic Islands.
