IdISBa organizes the Synergia, Primus and Impetus Conference
The Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa) is organizing the Synergia, Primus and Impetus Conference, which will take place on September 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., at the assembly hall of Hospital Universitari Son Espases (HUSE).
The aim of the conference is to showcase several research projects developed within the Synergia, Primus and Impetus programmes, as well as to present their foundations and main lines of work.
The session will begin with a presentation of the Primus, Impetus and Synergia programme frameworks, delivered by Daniel Horacio, from the IdISBa Scientific Management Unit.
Synergia projects
During the first block, several Synergia projects will be presented, including:
- A multi-omics approach to the genetic basis of sudden cardiac death within the MUSIB project, presented by Damià Heine Suñer and Tomás Ripoll Vera.
- The IBERIA project on the identification of respiratory eosinophilic biomarkers to guide treatment for severe asthma, presented by Francisco de Borja García Cosío Piqueras and Roberto de la Rica Quesada.
- The development and validation of a tool to measure patient safety based on patients' perceptions (PREOS study), presented by Ignacio Ricci Cabello and Rafael Jiménez López.
Primus projects
The Primus block will include presentations such as:
- The PRI23/07 project on classifying patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), presented by Núria Toledo Pons.
- The evaluation of the implementation of paediatric nursing consultations in primary care, presented by Maria Clara Vidal Thomàs.
- Personalized therapy in patients with enteropathy associated with inborn errors of immunity, presented by Vanessa Cerisse Daza Cajigal.
Impetus projects
The final block will be devoted to Impetus projects:
- Emotional Regulation in Adolescents (ERIA), presented by Belén Sáez Vicens.
- The impact of lifestyle factors on body composition in older adults (LIFE-BODYCOM), presented by Jadwiga Konieczna.
- The development of a screening tool to identify cancer survivors' needs and concerns, presented by Alice Mary Lillian Chaplin Scott.
This event offers an opportunity to learn about recent advances in biomedical research in the Balearic Islands and to foster collaboration among IdISBa research groups.
