Junge Camerata Academica Charity Concert Raises €360 for Breast Cancer Research at IdISBa
The Junge Camerata Academica has performed today at a charity concert held at the Església Vella in Son Servera. The ensemble, made up of young string musicians from northern Germany aged between 5 and 22, has offered a performance conducted by Isabel Morey Suau and Neil Fellows in support of breast cancer research carried out at the Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa).
Through donations collected during the event, €360 has been raised for the Functional Oncogenomics Research Group at IdISBa, which focuses on breast cancer research, particularly cases affecting young women.
The concert has given attendees the opportunity to enjoy a programme performed by talented young musicians while helping to support research projects aimed at improving knowledge of the disease and advancing new strategies for prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
IdISBa would like to thank the Junge Camerata Academica, its directors, all attendees and everyone who has contributed through donations, making possible an initiative that places culture and music at the service of health and biomedical research.
The funds raised will support ongoing studies carried out by the Functional Oncogenomics Research Group to improve understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in breast cancer and to promote the development of new therapeutic approaches that may benefit patients in the future.
