Nearly 50 people took part in the “Move for Them” charity event and raised €1,010 for breast cancer research

Nearly 50 people took part this Saturday in the charity event "Move for Them", an initiative held at the Urban Trainers gym to support breast cancer research.

The event took place at the Urban Trainers facilities, located at 4 Camí de Gènova, Palma, where three training sessions were organised for adults aged 18 and over. Participants made a charitable contribution of €10 to take part.

Thanks to the commitment and generosity of all participants, the event raised €1,010, which will be donated in full to the Functional Oncogenomics Research Group at the Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa). The group conducts research focused on breast cancer, particularly in younger women, with the aim of improving knowledge of the disease and contributing to the development of new prevention, diagnostic and treatment strategies.

The initiative successfully combined physical activity, solidarity and support for biomedical research, turning every workout into an opportunity to contribute to a cause that affects thousands of people and their families.

IdISBa would like to express its sincere gratitude to everyone who took part in this charity event, as well as to Urban Trainers for their commitment and collaboration in organising an activity that shows how sport can also be a powerful tool for advancing research and offering hope.
