The IdISBa launches the first call of the Primus Program for the realization of health research projects for researchers who have not yet obtained a competitive national or international public research project as a principal investigator. It is therefore an objective of this program to bring researchers to the field of competitive research.

In addition, the Primus program is set up as a call for projects that allow preliminary results to be reached and which serve as a launch pad to obtain financing in competitive calls at the national or international level. 

The purpose of this program is to contribute to promoting the health and well-being of citizens, as well as to develop the preventive, diagnostic, curative, rehabilitative and palliative aspects of the disease, thereby strengthening and increasing the competitiveness of R + D + I in health of the Balearic Islands. Likewise, the purpose of this program is the design of techniques, products, instruments or similar that may contribute to improving the health of the population, by protecting their intellectual property and marketing.

Also this call aims:

• Strengthen collaborations between the researchers of the IdISBa and the health system of the Balearic Islands.
• Encourage the participation of research personnel who perform assistance tasks in the Health Service of the Balearic Islands.
